Glasses
New ARHLO collection at Walford & Round
A Very British Kind of Style
Great eyewear has the ability to do something rather special. As well as helping you see well, the right pair of glasses can say something about you before you’ve said a word.
That’s one of the reasons the new ARHLO collection caught our eye.
A British eyewear brand with individuality at its heart, ARHLO takes inspiration from two very different sides of British style: our love of tradition and craftsmanship, and our slightly more rebellious streak.
Think classic tailoring, tartan and herringbone meeting the creativity of London’s streets, British music and the unmistakable attitude of 90s Britpop.
The result is eyewear that feels contemporary without trying too hard to be fashionable.
Look closely and there are some lovely details to discover, including bespoke hinges, patterned core wires and subtle tartan-inspired detailing. Even the names have a story behind them, with optical styles taking inspiration from the London map — including Shoreditch, Mile End, Vyner and Tredegar Square.
It’s a collection for people who appreciate good design but don’t necessarily want their eyewear to look like everybody else’s.
There’s thought behind the materials, too.
Bio-based acetate and recycled stainless steel feature across the new collection, reflecting ARHLO’s more considered approach to materials and manufacture.
It’s a good reminder that choosing eyewear doesn’t have to be a choice between something interesting to wear and something thoughtfully made.
Many of us naturally gravitate towards similar frames each time we change our glasses. There’s nothing wrong with knowing what suits you — but occasionally a slightly different shape, colour or detail can be surprisingly flattering.
The new ARHLO collection gives us plenty of opportunities to experiment, from understated designs with an interesting twist to frames with rather more personality.
And you don’t have to work that out on your own.
Pop into Walford & Round and let us show you the new ARHLO collection. We’ll help you explore the shapes, colours and styles that work with your features, your colouring and — most importantly — your personality.
Because glasses may be something you need to wear, but there’s no reason they shouldn’t also be something you love wearing.
